Having a verified discord account is one of the most important things for a player to have, since it helps you to get more access to the server. It also ensures that you are not a spam bot that can easily disrupt your game. If you are not aware of how to verify your account, then you are not alone.
Server verification settings
Whether you are an experienced Discord user or a newbie, you will need to verify your email address and password in order to access certain Discord servers. This is a security precaution that will prevent any malicious users from compromising your account. However, you can also set up two-factor authentication, which requires a code to be entered from a mobile device. This can be found in the Security & Privacy tab of your server settings.
There are five different verification levels to choose from. These vary in how much time it takes for a member of the Discord server to complete the verification process. If you want to increase your security, you can choose to set a higher level. This will protect you against spammers and help you avoid getting raided.
The highest level requires you to have a verified mobile phone number. If you do not have one, you can ask a trusted adult to verify your Discord account.
Linked roles
Linked Roles are a new way to verify Discord accounts. These roles allow Discord users to verify their own accounts, as well as those of others. This helps improve security and member safety. It can also help increase trust in interactions within Discord.
Discord Linked Roles can be obtained by clicking on the “Linked Roles” button in the Server Settings drop-down menu. Alternatively, they can be added to an existing role.
The process is similar to creating any other role in your community. You can choose what information you want to display in your Linked Roles channel. This can include games that you’ve played on your Discord profile, social media presence, and more.
To get started, sign in to Discord. Once you’re signed in, look for the Linked Roles feature on the left side of the panel. You’ll see a list of available roles, as well as requirements for each one. You can then select a Linked Role and start the connection process.
Bot verification
Keeping your Discord account safe and secure is important. That’s why Discord has implemented the verification process for new accounts. They want to make sure your account isn’t being used by spammers. Adding an extra layer of security to your Discord account is an easy way to keep it from becoming a target.
To start the verification process, you must first create a Discord account. You can use a phone number or an email address. In either case, you will need to fill out the form and select the verification button.
When your account is ready, you can join voice channels, add friends, and participate in live streaming events. You can also use the Discord mobile application to verify your account. If you are using a PC or Mac, you can access the developer portal to create and manage your bot.
Once you’ve created a Discord account, you’ll receive a verification email. In the email, you’ll see a banner letting you know that your account has been verified.
Private spaces will be deleted
During the pandemic, Discord increased its usage, reaching nearly 150 million monthly active users in September 2021. In the second half of 2020, it removed 266,075 accounts. It also rolled out more account controls in its Safety Center, including blocking offensive users and restricting explicit content. However, the company has been struggling with age verification. In a recent case, Discord was unable to help a mother who reported an inappropriate relationship with her 13-year-old son.
The company says that child sexual abuse material is a small percentage of activity. It has also hosted listening sessions and is partnering with a child safety organization, ConnectSafely. But it’s difficult to know how often these incidents occur. Moreover, the company doesn’t publicly comment on specific cases. It also hasn’t responded to a request from a mother who was attempting to share links to a chat with her son.
According to Discord’s latest report, it removed more than 11,000 instances of exploitative content from its servers. That’s an increase from the previous year’s removal of 130,000. This includes sexually explicit material, and content that promotes bullying or violence.
